RibbonLayoutsPage/ContextualWebpart alternatives

So, it's cool to using RibbonLayoutsPage or ContextualWebpart, but I have some issues with it.

1) I have some "legacy application" for SharePoint and in this case there are base/abstract application page classes t I have to inheritance from.

I know, that's not best practise, but I have no choices.

2) Another case, I have the same "legacy application" for SharePoint. There are base/abstract application page classes and there is custom MVC/MVVM framework for building UI. In this case I have to build up all my Views (in terms of MVC) as custom UserControl which have to be inheritanced from base MVC-view class (like ViewUserControlBase). So, to be short, my view impl is responsible for building UI and, of cource, Ribbon UI - there is issue come up.

What should I do in these cases?

Unfortunately this functionality is not implemented yet. Actually it is known inconvenience and it is described in workitem #11 Alternative to base classes. Please, vote for it, if you want it to be implemented in the next release.
